Cricket World Cup 2011

Cricket seems to be the heart of the countries where the game is followed passionately. The Tenth ICC cricket world cup will be held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh over 43 days, with 14 countries fight each other for the World Cup title.

It is first time for Bangladesh to co-host an ICC world cup. Pakistan was also part of the co-hosting countries, but after the attack on Sri Lanka's cricket team in Lahore in 2009,

ICC Cricket World Cup opening match will take place in Bangladesh, with India v Bangladesh. In 2011 world cup India will host 29 matches, Sri Lanka will host 12 matches and Bangladesh will host 8 matches.
the International Cricket Council forced the Pakistan to ban its hosting rights. So at present Pakistan is out the hosting of world cup matches presently. The cricket world cup is the golden chance for its fans around the world especially in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to watch the finest players on the planet at the peak of their powers.

So there will be 49 matches will be played in 2011 as compared to 51 in 2007. India will host one quarter final in Ahmedabad, one semi final in Mohali and Final of World Cup 2011 in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. While Bangladesh will host 1st and 3rd quarterfinal in Mirpur, Dhaka and Sri Lanka will host the 2ndst semi final in R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

The 2011 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will witness the madness, the maturity, the ecstasy and perhaps the agony of the fans in these four countries, which have made these emotions inalienable from the game of cricket.
