The Hockey World Championships is measured to be an international field hockey contest just similar to FIFA soccer world cup where teams from all over the world contribute to win the coveted cup. This contest organized once every 4 years by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The primary hockey world cup was started in 1971.
There are two editions of the Hockey world cup - the women's and the men's. So far five countries have ruled the Hockey world cup but the most victorious team is Pakistan who has won it four times.
