Hockey World Cup

The Hockey World Cup was started in 1971. The Hockey World Cup also recognized the Hockey World Championships. Women's Hockey World Cup


Women's hockey world cup has been held since 1974. The contest has been organized by the International Hockey Federation (IHF) since they took over the role from the International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations (IFWHA) in 1983. Since 1986, it has been organized frequently once every four years, in the similar year as the men's competition. The most successful team of this event is Netherlands, having won the title six times. Netherlands won the first women's hockey world cup and 2006 world cup.
