Commonwealth Games Venues

The 19th Commonwealth Games are hosted by New Delhi, the contemporary capital city of India, between October 3 and October 14, 2010. This beautiful city is famous for its eclectic mix of modernity and tradition, New Delhi is a home to some of the most famous sights in the world. The opening and closing ceremonies are organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the second biggest stadium in the globe. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
The Jawaharlal Stadium is the largest stadium in India and second largest in the world with a capacity of 135, 000 people. The stadium was constructed to host the occasion of 9th Asian Games in 1982. The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is headquartering of the Indian Olympic Committee. The opening and closing ceremonial of Commonwealth Games 2010 will be take place at this stadium.

Dhyan Chand National Stadium - Hockey
Named after the celebrated past hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, Dhyan Chand National Stadium is a beautiful hockey stadium in New Delhi. It has a capacity to accommodate 30000 spectators. The Dhyan Chand National Stadium is the place for the 2010 Boxing.

Indira Gandhi Arena
Named after previous prime minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the Indira Gandhi Arena is the biggest indoor sports stadium in India and the second-largest in Asia. This stadium has 30,000 people capacity. The facility is the place for 2010 Cycling, Archery, Wrestling and Gymnastics.
 
Delhi University Sports Complex - Rugby 7s
The Delhi University Sports Complex will be utilizing for 2010 Rugby 7s.

Tyagaraj Sports Complex
The Tyagraj Sports Complex will organize 2010 netball. New Indoor Hall for 2010 Games is being constructed at this activity.

Siri Fort Sports Complex
Newest Indoor Hall is under creation at Sri Fort Sports Complex. The facility will provide as a place for 2010 Badminton and Squash.

Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range
Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range will organize 2010 Shooting during Commonwealth Games.

Talkatora Stadium
Talkatora Stadium's is beautiful Indoor Hall will be used for Boxing competition for 2010 games.

SPM Swimming Pool Complex
This facility will be use for 2010 Aquatics action.

RK Khanna Tennis Complex
The facility will serve as a place for 2010 Tennis.

Yamuna Sports Complex
